How to do the Drop Snatch - Learn Proper Drop Snatch Form

  1. Step 1: Start with the barbell on your shoulders and your hands under the bar.
  2. Step 2: Bend slightly at the knees and using your legs and arms push the weight up over your head and lock your arms out.
  3. Step 3: At the same time drop your butt and squat downwards until your legs make a 90 degree angle.
  4. Step 4: Keeping your arms locked out stand back up. After you stood up lower the bar back down to your shoulders.
  5. Step 5: This completes one repetition.

The drop snatch is a free weights exercise that primarily targets the glutes and to a lesser degree also targets the groin, chest, shoulders, biceps, forearms, quads, calves, triceps, lats, lower back, hamstrings, hip flexors, and outer thighs.
