How to do the Glute Bridge - Learn Proper Glute Bridge Form

  1. Step 1: Lie flat on the floor on your back. Place your hands by your side and bend your knees. Your feet should be shoulder width apart. This is the starting position.
  2. Step 2: Push with your hips and lift them off the floor. Keep your back straight. Exhale as you perform this part of the exercise and hold it at the top for a second.
  3. Step 3: Slowly move your hips back to the starting position as you breathe in.

    There are so many good things to say about the glute bridge! The glutes are generally the hardest muscle to figure out HOW to use. You may think you're using your glutes but most of the time the quadriceps will over compensate for them because of lack of strength. But when you do the glute bridge they are definitely being activated and used! I recommend going slow, pausing at the top and squeezing your butt together. Make it burn!
