How to do the Negative Push-Up - Learn Proper Negative Push-Up Form

  1. Step 1: Assume a standard push-up position on your toes with hands placed slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  2. Step 2: Begin exercise by slowly lowering yourself down, while keeping your body in straight line.
  3. Step 3: As your body and chest come very close to the ground, drop your knees to the ground and push up from the down position.
  4. Step 4: To complete another push-up, simply repeat steps 1-3.

  1. Variation 1: Complete a traditional push-up. Simply start and end on your toes.
  2. Variation 2: Perform a knee push-up. Simply start and end on your knees.
