How to do the Push-Up Position Row - Learn Proper Push-Up Position Row Form

  1. Step 1: Grab a pair of hex dumbbells and place them where your hands would normally go when performing a push-up.
  2. Step 2: Grasp the dumbbells and set yourself in a push-up position with arms straight. Palms facing each other. This is the starting position.
  3. Step 3: Next, raise the dumbbell in your left hand up to the side of your chest, (palm should be facing the same direction throughout the exercise) without rotating your torso. Pause, then lower weight back down. Repeat with right arm. This completes one rep.

  1. Variation 1: Perform with palms facing behind you, instead of facing each other. Elbow will be out for this variation when performing row.
  2. Variation 2: Place feet on a flat bench or an elevated box.
