How to do the Reset Dumbbell Lateral Raise - Learn Proper Reset Dumbbell Lateral Raise Form

  1. Step 1: Start by placing either a box or some weighted plates on a flat bench. Place the dumbbells on the bench on either side.
  2. Step 2: Sit down on the box or stack of plates and reach down and grab the dumbbells.
  3. Step 3: Make sure that the box or stack of weights is high enough so that when your arms hang down your fingers can just barely touch the bench.
  4. Step 4: Raise the dumbbells up laterally to shoulder height, try to keep your arms as straight as possible.
  5. Step 5: Lower the weight back down and rest it on the bench again. You are going to do each repetition from a dead stop.
  6. Step 6: After each rep set the weight back down on the bench. Repeat for the desired amount of repetitions.
