How to do the Walk-in-Place - Learn Proper Walk-in-Place Form

  1. Step 1: Stand upright, (shoulders back, abs tightened, and hips tucked forward slightly so that the lower back is not arched.)
  2. Step 2: Lift right leg, lower right leg; lift left leg, lower left leg

  1. Variation 1: Walk-in-Place with feet wider than shoulder width apart
  2. Variation 2: Walk-in-Place while lifting feet aprox. 12" off the ground (allow knee to come higher than waistline)

  4. Variation 4: Jog-in-Place: lift and lower legs quicker
